Student Chromebooks

Students are given a Chromebook and charger when they start attending a SDP public school. If you lose or break a charger those will not be replaced by the school district you can purchase a replacement charger HERE.

The computer your child is assigned will follow your child to any Philadelphia Public School they attend if you are transferring to a private or charter school the computer must remain at the school. If you are transferring to a School District of Philadelphia School please fill out the Student Chromebook Sign-Out form to take their computer to another school.

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade leave their computers do not travel back and forth from school to home they stay in the classroom for school use.

3rd – 5th Grades are permitted to take their computers home at the teacher’s discretion. Computers must return to school everyday. If a student damages more than one computer that they have been allowed to take home the privilege may be revoked and the computer will have to remain at the school.

If a computer is damaged or lost please report it to the classroom teacher and they will add your student’s name to the buildings service list and their computer problem will be addressed ASAP. Please be patient.

If you have a damaged computer it may be faster to take your student’s computer to one of the Parent and Family Technology Support Centers if you are able. Please see times and locations below.
